Mice at Play

Hi everyone

Oh...I hate to say this but Christmas will soon be upon us. Now is the time to start making your Christmas cards. Below is a card I made a couple of days ago. The background stamp was a goof I had done previously. I just cut off the bad spot and worked around the color. The saying is under the circle which says "From our home to yours". There is a little gold string to pull the circle. The dots on the scallop circle are stickles glue. As shown below the mouse stamp was originally a To and From tag. I masked off the words and just used the mouse.

I also made a couple of tags that came with the House Mouse set. If you like these little critters, why not stop on by at StampingPalace and check out our other mice stamps. All are on sale right now.

So until next time better start on those Christmas cards. It's just around the corner. Thanks for stopping by.

Toilet Paper Molding Technique

Hi Everyone

Just wanted to let you know that I have added a new technique to Stamping Palace. It's actually an old technique that has been around forever but I never knew about it. My sister, Manetta, (you can find her at Fun With Ink) was talking about it and thought it would be a great tutorial--old being renewed. Did some research and on the right is my finished project. If you never heard of the Toilet Paper Molding Technique or if you knew about it and forgot the directions, why not stop on by and give it a try.

Another card added to my Christmas Card collection. Out of all the cards I make, my favorite is Christmas. It's a good thing because I have way too many to make. Every year I say I am going to cut down on my list, but I never seem to do.

So until next time...Keep on crafting.

Cover-a-Card Dots & Flourishes

Here's two Christmas cards I made to add to my growing collection. It's the same style card but used two different cover-a-card stamps.

The first card is our Cover-a-Card
Small Dot stamp. I used one of our Christmas House Mouse Collection stamps. Happy Holidays comes from our Clear Stamp Set Greeting Galore. Added a little glitter from Clear Gel Pen.

The second card came from our Cover -a -Card Flourishes stamp. Embossed it with red embossing powder. Happy Holidays was generated on my computer. Black ribbon. All was placed on a black cardstock. Very Pretty card with not much time involved.

I hope this collection of cards this weekend inspires you a little. I really had fun making these cards. As always remember to check out Fun with Ink Blog and Stamping Palace Blog for more inspiring ideas.

Last day for Labor Day Sale at Stamping Palace. Why not stop on by....and thanks for stopping by and visiting me today.

Cover-a-Card Branches

Just wanted to show a couple of cards I made using our Cover-a-card Branches.

This first card I used the entire stamp, embossed it then colored the background. I'm leaving as it and will stamp the inside later when an appropriate occasion occurs. The other card I stamped part of the stamp and added a winter look to it. Great Christmas card to add to my growing collection. The third card I stamped with Rich Cocoa Memento Ink. Using our Eagle stamp I colored and cut out the image. Three different looks with the same background stamp.

Cover-a-Card Small Dots

Do you realize that Christmas is really just around the corner? Usually I have a good percentage of my cards made but I am solely lacking right now. I am starting to make some cards but have to work double time to get caught up. Between working and babysitting my grandchildren (If it sounds like I am complaining, I'm really not because I love being with my grandchildren. I am complaining about work though.) I find I don't seem to have much time for anything else. I'm thinking this year of making a very simple elegant card and mass produce.

This card is what I'm talking about. It is so easy to make. To start off with I made a gatefold card. Used our cover-a-card small dots and inked in Memento Bahama Blue. I love this ink because I can color and it doesn't bleed and washes off the stamps with just a baby wipe. Using our SNOW stamp, I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with blue Blick Marker, covered the snow areas of the stamp with Stickles Frosted Lace. Let dry. I then used clear gel glitter pen to highlight snowflakes and dots and then added a bow. If you don't have a Bow-Easy, you should get one. You can make 7 different size bows with ease and how I ever made bows without one I'll never know.

Until next time start making those cards. Holidays are coming faster than you think. Thanks for stopping by.

Cover-a-Card Lace

Have you ever needed a background and just didn't have the right paper? Maybe you had the paper but it wasn't in the right color. This is why I like the cover-a-card stamps. All you need is ink and in the case of the card below--some embossing powder.

I first stamped the image with VersaMark Ink then with Memento Desert Sand ink. I then embossed with clear embossing powder. Cut out ovals with my Spellbinders Nestibilities. The flower image is called Silhouette 11 and the "Thinking of You" is from our Anytime Sentiment Clear Stamp Set. The butterfly I found in my collection of stamps. Three pearls were added to the left corner of card. Great card for just about any occasion.

Don't forget to check out funwithink blog and stampingpalace blog for more card making idea. If you're interested in any of the cover-a-card stamps... great Labor Day Sale on all cover-a-card stamps at Stamping Palace.

Till next time... Have a great day stamping.

Favorite Fishing Spot

The men in my family love to fish and love to spend time in the bathroom. What better way is there but to combine both activities into one. We have this great stamp called Ye Ole Fishin' Hole where a man is fishing from an outhouse.

I used our Cover-a-Card Wood Grain Stamp and applied Memento Summer Sky blue ink. On a separate white cardstock I stamped image with Memento Texedo Black Ink, colored with Blick Markers, cut and glued image to right side of card. Tied a ribbon to left side and the card is complete.

Stop on by at Stamping Palace and check out other cover-a-card stamps. Great 3-day Labor Day sale on all cover-a-card stamps. Also check out Stamping Palace Blog and Fun With Ink for more ideas.

Have a great crafting day
